The Murphy Centre presents the ACCESS to Learning program, designed to meet the diverse needs of adult learners. This program focuses on building strong foundational skills through experienced instructors, free of charge.
Program Offerings:
- Literacy & Numeracy: Foundational Reading, Writing, Creative Writing, Mental Math, CAAT B Preparation, GED Preparation
- Life Skills: Adaptability, Communication, Growth Mindset, Journaling, Stress Management
- Digital Literacy Skills: Intro to Digital Literacy, Cell Phone & Tablet Basics, Email, Online Safety, Zoom
Courses are offered in flexible schedules with individual and small group sessions, ensuring each participant progresses at their own pace in engaging and interactive lessons.

Funded by the Department of Education, the Murphy Centre offers these programs in St. John’s, Gander, Corner Brook, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
